Nimbus had a very successful weekend earning her Senior title, 80 Crazy 8 points to add to her total (now 400) and scored her first leg of Masters.

Nimbus earned the first leg towards her JXE under Judy Todd.
Once more she impressed with her unbridled enthusiasm.

Following up on the promise from last year's Novice Earthdog Title, Nimbus earned her AKC Junior Earthdog Title with qualifying runs under Judy Todd and Nancy Goldman

I'm proud to say that Nimbus has finally earned a Q in Senior Barnhunt!!
She also earned 30 points towards her Crazy 8s title during our third run (she now has 290 points of our 500)! Looks like a promising season.
Result...one tired, but happy, BT.
BTC Specialty Weekend, Long Sault - August 26, 2022 thru August 28, 2022
Nimbus avoided the chaos of the conformation shows and insead stuck to something that made sense and was a lot more fun!!!
She participated in all three days of Ottawa Valley Barnhunt events.
During Friday’s Crazy 8s, she tunnelled three times, climbed and found three rats. Unfortunately, first day event jitters got to me and I lifted Nimbus to get her off a rat tube.
Saturday was much more successful; she earned 50 Crazy 8 points and found 3 out of 4 rats during a Senior run (our second attempt at a Senior leg).
Despite the extreme heat on Sunday, Nimbus earned 60 crazy 8 points. She found 4 rats and even found a fifth right after the allowed time. This was an excellent indication that Nimbus CAN complete the necessary requirements for a Senior title.
She had an NQ for her Senior run on Sunday but we are confident that she will get there soon.
Nimbus now has 260 crazy 8points!.
It's all about instinct - Finger Lakes Kennel Club ED Tests, Candor, NY - July 23 - judges Ron Sebastiani and Trudi Kawami.
Nimbus once again showed her inner terrier off to perfection. She aced her AKC Novice Earthdog Title in two straight runs.
And that's Open taken care of - Whiskers Barn Hunt Club, Canandaigua, NY - June 18th - judges Eva Fowler and Holly Nagel.
While Trevor and Sophie has fun at the nearby KOA, Gen and Nimbus had a great time in Barn Hunt (or at least Nimbus's version of a great time). She finished her Open title with a first place, actually she was the only one to qualify in her class!!!
South of the border more Barn Hunt success. Central Square, NY - May 1st, 2022
Nimbus earned Open Q number 2 at the Grace Farms Barn Hunt Tests under judge Karen Cummings in 2:03.50 which earned her a First Place.
She was by far the most energetic and enthusiastic dog there. Perhaps she was a bit too excited to be back in the ring as Saturday her overenthusiasm resulted in false indications.
On Sunday, however, she entered the ring and quickly found the first rat (after I asked her if she was certain). She followed that darn tube again. She jumped at the fence and pawed at the gate for a good minute before I could finally convince her that there was a second rat. She ran through her tunnel and then gave me a great indicator for the second rat (raised).
Luckily, we were able to harness this positive energy during our first ever Crazy 8s. Nimbus completed a climb and found 4 rats!

Nimbus made a successful debut in Open earning her first Open leg under judge Cynthia Sandison in 39.25 seconds at the Gableridge "Spooktacular Trial".

As predicted, Nimbus returned to Barn Hunt and left no doubt in anyone's mind that she knew what she was doing, with a second and two first place finishes including a High in Class, this little girl absolutely rocked her title. All accomplished under Karen McClean from Okotoks, AB
Dachshund Club of Greater Ontario ED Trials - August 28-29, 2021
Wow! This little girl has an amazing ED future ahead of her. She had two qualifying runs in Intro to Quarry under judges Anna Robaczewski and Pamela Burns and came oh so close to qualifying in Junior under Anna Robaczewski.
Gable Ridge BHA Barn Hunt Trials - July 11th, 2021
At just 7-1/2 months of age, Nimbus aced her BHA Instinct title in fine style, despite having to sport a pair of panties due to being in season!
This was Nimbus and Gen's first venture into Barn Hunt but we are sure it won't be their last.
