February 10-11, 2024 - Y2K9s' CPE trials, Judge Mike Conroy

Great start to the year!!!
Rosie qualified in 6 of 8 runs. Our Saturday Jackpot challenged our distance work, which we need to continue working on.
On Sunday, in Wildcard, Rosie decided to visit a ring steward and took a wrong course on her way back to me. The hazards of being a social butterfly!
Thanks to Diane Battis, Lynn Lubing, and Heather Eckenrode for doing a great job of running the trials, and Mike for challenging courses.
Always a great crowd to be around.
Rosie and I will continue to work towards her C-ATCH, one run at a time. Our first Level 5 Q was in May 2023; I can't believe how far we've come.

Chris

December 30-31, 2023 - CPE agility hosted by Rocky Creek, held at Y2K9s

Rosie ended 2023 on a high note at our home club!
We ran Saturday and Sunday, Level 5, five runs each day.

Saturday she had a Perfect Day getting 5 of 5 and all 1st Places! They were Jackpot, Standard, Snooker, Colors, and Jumpers.
On Sunday, she got 4 of 5; in Wildcard she got wild after the weave poles and took a wrong end of a tunnel, in spite of my direction! She's a pistol!

Looking at her overall L5 Tracking Sheet, it may be possible after all of getting her C-ATCH. It'll probably take a year or so, but at least we can try.

It was nice seeing friends and hanging out together. Always a good time. Very proud of her since we haven't competed since September as there aren't as many in the area as before. In 2024 there will be at least 4 more at our club, so that's a big advantage.
Requisite photo and she doesn't look like she's being beaten! I did have some awesome treats in my hand, which she got of course during and after being tortured.

Wishing everyone a happy and safe and, dare I say, "uneventful", New Year!

Chris

September 21, 2023 - CDSP Obedience at Positive Dogs. - Judge Sara Jacobs

Rosie is in Novice C going for her Championship (10 Q's with a score of 185 or higher). Sara Jacobs was our Judge, and she's a great judge to show under.
In Trial 1, Rosie qualified with a score of 197.5 and Second Place!
In Trial 2, Rosie was even more awesome, and qualified with a score of 199 and Second Place!
She now has 4 Q's towards her Championship.
She's an amazing little girl

Chris

September 16-17, 2023 - Y2K9s' CPE agility trials - Judge Joyce Yaccarino

Rosie had a fun weekend at Y2K9s' CPE agility trials!
She qualified in 8 out of 10 runs!
The courses were challenging for us, yet we had moments of brilliance and a few oops!
All in the journey.

Thanks to everyone involved in running the trials, and to folks who pitched in to help during the trials.

As always, Rosie felt tortured having a photo taken!
She always looks so serious!
Love her so much!
Chris

July 8th, 2023 - Companion Dog Sports Program Obedience hosted by Versatile K9 Sports Club

Since Rosie isn't ready for Open class yet (we need to train some of the exercises), she is in Novice C going for her Championship (10 Q's required with a score of 185 or higher).
Under Judge Joelle Iuliano, in Trial 1, Rosie got a 198 and 2nd Place!
In Trial 2, she got a 198 again and 1st Place! Two Q's down and 8 to go!

She's fun to trial with, and always amazes me!
Chris

June 19th, 2023 - Companion Dog Sports Program Obedience hosted by Pawsable K9 Events

Rosie had a great day yesterday doing CDSP (Companion Dog Sports Program) Obedience hosted by Pawsable K9 Events.
There were two trials, and she was entered in Novice B, hoping to earn two legs to complete her title. As always, she made me look good!
In Trial 1, under Judge Natalene Lamming, Rosie qualified with a score of 199 and 1st Place! Amazing!
In Trial 2, under Judge Joelle Iuliano, Rose qualified with a score of 197, 1st Place, and finished her Novice Title! Icing on the cake -- she got High-In-Trial! Yay Rosie!

I'm humbled every time we perform, because she's such a great dog, who loves and enjoys being with me, no matter what we're doing.

Requisite ribbon photo, plus tuckered out after a busy day.

May 6th-7th, 2023 - Y2K9's CPE agility trials, Judge Kristine Kalfas,

Rosie qualified in 7 of 10 runs (some Level 3, some Level 5), earning two titles -- CL3-H (Level 3 Handler) and CL3-F (Level 3 Fun).
Best of all, she finished Level 3, and is completely Level 5 now!
This same weekend last year, Rosie finished her Level 1-1,000 Point Level title!
Never imagined one year later we'd be in the top level!
I know I've said it before, but she's amazing!

Thanks Y2K9s for the trials, and to all the major players behind the scenes that made it happen.

Requisite ribbon photo with Ms. Serious, and crashing Sunday evening after dinner!

April 29th, 2023 - Products 4 Pets' CynoSport Rally Trials, Judge Annette Murphy Wales

In Trial 1, Rosie qualified in Level 1B with a score of 200 (possible 210)! I was quite pleased as she was very enthusiastic in the ring causing major forging!
In Level 2A, Rosie earned a 206, and her Level 2 Title! Yay Rosie!
She earned it in three trials -- amazing.
In Trial 2, Level 1B was a 207! Yay! Our Level 2B (I moved her up) score was a 208! Our first "official" double-Q towards her ARCH.
Another surprise was Rosie got High Combined Level 2 in Trial 2! I couldn't believe it with so many great runs from the others!
The Level 1 Q's go towards her L1 Championship. She needs one more to finish.
Rosie is a very, very talented girl, with such personality, and we love her so much.
Chris

April 8th, 2023 - Positive Dogs CDSP Obedience Trials, Judge Sara Jacobs

Rosie finished her Starter Novice B title with a score of 194! Lost points on one no sit, and some forging.
I was extremely pleased with her performance since we were there at 8:30 a.m., (because I rode with my friend Marie who was in early classes), plus it was a new environment.
Exercises required: Heel on lead, off-lead Figure 8, Moving Stand for Exam, Recall over Jump, Sit or Down Stay while you walk the ring perimeter, Stay while you get lead.
I said if we q'd in the morning trial, I would move her up to Novice B in the afternoon trial, so I did. I had practiced at Marie's on Friday, so I was familiar with them. Only concern was the moving stand. This version was totally different than what we have trained, but Rosie picked it up quickly so I felt confident.
Because we moved up we were at the end of the class, so late in the day. We were the last Novice B dog, then one A dog after us and that was the end of the trial.
I was nervous, but thought just do what you know, keep her attention best you can, and direct her best you know how.
Rosie was "on", and evidently so was I! Her attention was amazing, she sat when required during heeling, her moving stand was perfect, as was her recall. When you finished, Sara told you if you q'd, so I knew we had, but when I went to view her scoresheet I was flabbergasted!
Rosie's score: 199.5 !!! Wow! Holy moly!
I've never scored that high. I knew we did well because as we left the ring everyone was complimenting me on what a great run it was, how we work so well together, etc. It felt so nice! Best surprise ever?
Rosie got HIT (High In Trial) for Trial 2 with that score!!
I didn't know what to say, I was amazed by it the entire ride home. I've attached our photo with the Judge, and the requisite home photo (Rosie hates the camera).
I'm so glad I had my other friend, Maria, record our runs. Our first run I can see where I messed up or she did. Our Novice run was amazing. Her attention was off the charts and she listened to everything I asked of her. I realized I didn't do the moving stand like I had trained, but she listened and did it. God she's smart!
So we will continue competing in CDSP, as it's more conducive to how I like to work with Rosie. We're doing CynoSport rally end of April. Also a nice venue.
Just wanted you to know how proud I am of my little girlie.

Chris

April 1st, 2023 - No fooling rround...or maybe just a little bit

3D Dog Training's CPE trial, Judge Linda Montemarano
Rosie qualified in 4 of 5 runs! Running in Level 3, she q'd in Jumpers, FullHouse, Wildcard, and Standard, all 1st Places!
In our Colors run we had a miscommunication between a tunnel and the dogwalk! ??

She earned her Level 3 Standard title - CL3-R!
Rosie is such a fun partner and quite forgiving at times with my handling! We enter the ring and do our best every time, even if we don't qualify. We are always learning.
Love this little peanut!

Chris

Oakes K9 Training CynoSport Rally Trial March 18, 2023, under Judge Annette Murphy Wales

Rosie qualified in both Level 1B and Level 2A!

Her score for Level 1B was 209 (possible 210) and 4th Place (based on time)! She got a bit into sniffing at the second sign, but focused on me the rest of the course. I didn't think we did as well as our score, but I won't argue with the Judge! ?? This is our sixth leg towards her Championship (10 required).
Level 2A, and 1st Place, is our second leg; only one more for her title. Working off lead is always a bit nerve wracking, but she was completely focused on me. Only one misstep at one sign where she went down instead of sitting at the halt. No big deal, I decided to re-do it in order for her to do it correctly. I was very pleased with our score -- again, certainly not expecting what we got. Kathy Acosta was kind enough to record our run, and when I watch it, I realize how good Rosie really is!
Rosie also won Highest Scoring Rescue! For that she received a bottle of wine, a stemless wine glass and a toy. Her other placements also got her new toys too!

Chris

Cracking start to 2023!!! February 11-12, 2023, Y2K9's CPE Agility trial, under Judge JoLee Yeddo

Rosie went 8 for 10!

She had a Perfect Saturday and 3 Q's on Sunday.
Her qualifying runs on Saturday in Snooker and Jackpot completed the requirements for her CL3-S (Strategy) title, so I moved her up to Level 5 for Sunday.
No Q's in either of them, but we're still learning.

She's fun to run, even when she decides her own path! Love her so much!
Requisite ribbon photo and crashing Sunday evening!

Chris

Saturday 31 December 2022, Rocky Creek's CPE Agility trial, under Judge JoLee Yeddo

Rosie went 4 for 5!

She Q'd in Level 3 Standard, Snooker, and Colors, and in Level 2 Wildcard!
Our Wildcard Q earned her the CL2-H (Handler) title, and even better, completed all of Level 2 (CL-2)!

I'm so proud of her!

Chris

Saturday 17 December 2022, CPE agility hosted by 3D Dog Training LLC, under Judge Erik Kessler

We played in CPE agility last Saturday, and once again, Rosie had a perfect day! 5 for 5, all 1st Places!

I am so proud of her performance in two specific classes: Level 3 Jackpot and Level 3 Snooker

They are challenging games, and when studying the maps Friday evening, I wasn't confident we would be able to do the gamble in Jackpot as it had 6 weave poles for one of the obstacles. In training I've only been able to work maybe 2-3' from her, and the gamble line was about 8-10'. But I figured we'd do our best and it would be a good experience.

Same with Snooker. Not so much the opening, but the middle of the course had jumps that needed very specific handling.

We earned more than enough points in the Jackpot opening, and then the gamble. It was a jump, jump, 6 weaves, and a jump. I sent her to the first jump and she got it and the second jump, when I told her go weave, and she missed the entrance, but I called her out over the line (you can do that as long as you don't go past it into the area), and sent her back to the weaves, and she nailed the entry and finished the entire gamble! I screamed "yay, you did it!" I was thrilled she was able to refocus and get the weaves. I wasn't sure we q'd due to possible time faults, but yes we did and 1st Place to boot!

I had planned on leaving early as I don't like driving in the dark these days, so I was going to scratch Snooker since it was late afternoon already while still running Jackpot. By the time I packed up our stuff and put it in the van, they had finished Jackpot and had the Snooker course built. So, I decided to run it and deal with the drive home.

For the first time I actually relaxed and took my time handling her, and she worked beautifully doing everything I asked. We finished the course, Q'd and 1st Place again! I didn't stay to get my ribbons as there were a lot of dogs left, but my friend Marie picked it up for me.

Oh, and Rosie earned another title! She finished her Level 2 Standard Title (CL2-R)!

Chris

September 25 2022 - In Chris's words

Rosie debuted yesterday in CDSP Starter Novice B obedience held at Pawsable K9s under Judge Annette M. Wales. There were two trials.

As usual, I was nervous, but the venue is very "user-friendly" (much more than AKC), allowing you to talk with your dog if needed, and also to reward them after an exercise is completed, prior to moving to the next one.
Starter Novice is on lead, except for the recall. Our order of exercises were heel on lead, on lead figure 8, stand for exam (the judge just walks around the dog; doesn't touch), recall, sit-stay while you retrieve your leash. There were 6 dogs in the A class, and 3 in the B class for both trials.

I treated her while waiting outside the ring, then right before we went in. From the start she was completely focused on me, and I did encourage her at times, and she sat at every halt! I rewarded her after some of the exercises. Some people frown on that saying it's a crutch and the dog isn't really working, but I don't care. If it keeps her happy and motivated (she doesn't know exactly when she might get one), that's what matters.

She was great in all the other exercises too. We received many compliments from competitors, both as a team and her focus on me. I overheard one lady tell her husband she would kill for attention like that! I had to admit that food has a lot of influence with Rosie!

Even Nat (Natalene Lamming), the owner of Pawsable, commented how wonderful she is and loves her drive to want to work! She asked about her breeder and kennel. Nat breeds jacks and loves Judy Todd's River! We had a nice chat about terriers.

I am proud to announce that in Trial 1, Rosie placed First in the B class with a score of 197! Not bad for our first time out! I felt more confident for the second trial; same order of exercises, just different direction in the ring. Rosie was still a very good girl, with lots of focus. A few forges during the Figure 8, but nothing I couldn't tell her to fix. Received even more compliments on our beautiful run.

Rosie earned another First Place. I wasn't sure how Rosie would perform in a brace, and her score was 199! Holy moly! Annette couldn't say enough about what a fabulous dog she is! Of course, I had to agree! One more leg needed, then we'll move to Novice!

Love this little gem of a girl!
Chris

September 17-18 2022 - Chris says it best

Rosie and I played in CPE agility at our home club, Y2K9's, this past weekend. We entered all 10 runs to support our club.
Under Judge Joyce Yaccarino, Saturday she qualified in all 5 runs, with one Third Place and four Second Places!
Her qualifying runs in Snooker and Jackpot (combined with last weekend's runs at Rocky Creek), earned her the CL2-S (Strategy Games) title! Two q's in both games required.
For those classes I moved her to Level 3 for Sunday.
Sunday she went 4 out of 5 with three Firsts and one Second Place! I was so proud of our Level 3 Jackpot Q! I'm always challenged planning for Snooker and Jackpot, and somehow this one worked out!
For our Level 3 Snooker debut, we made it through the opening, but when starting to finish the balance of the course, Rosie decided not to listen to my command for the tunnel and decided to take an off-course jump which got us the old "thank you" from the Judge to leave the ring. Oh well, she's allowed to be a stinker at times, but I think by then she was becoming quite tired (it was the next to last class).
Prior to that, with her Q in Fullhouse (first class of the day), she earned her CL2-F (Fun Games) title! You need two q's in FullHouse and two q's in Jumpers.
It may not have been a "perfect" weekend with ribbons, but it was a perfect weekend for fun with her and my friends. Always nice to see other folks too. Sunday evening we crashed. Not used to this much activity in a weekend!
Love this little poppet! Chris

Rocky Creek CPE trial - September 11, 2022 - judge Carol Thom

Rosie qualified in all five runs earning fisrt place each time!

The classes were FullHouse, Standard, Jackpot, Snooker, and Jumpers.

Dog Training Club of Chester County, CynoSport Rally, August 15th, 2022 - judge Joan Klingler

Rosie and Chris had a great Sunday, Rosie qualified with a score of 209 (possible 210) in Level 1B.

This was her 6th leg towards her Level 1 Championship (requirement is 10 Q's with score of 170 or higher).

They then took a big step and made their debut in Level 2A (off lead). Joan had a great course, and Rosie qualified with a 204 and 3rd Place! She stayed focused on Chris, with no intention of leaving. Chris was justifiably very proud of her!

Y2K9's CPE agility trials, May 7th-8th, 2022 - judge Darryl Warren

Rosie qualified in 9 of 10 runs, earning her Level 1 Point Level Title (L1-PLT)!
For those unfamiliar, she needed to accumulate 1,000 points, which are earned based on the class and how clean the run is.

Chris realized she completed Level 1 this same weekend last year at Y2K9's trials; so that's when she decided to go for this title!

3D Dog's CPE trial, 2nd April 2022 - judge Kris Kalfas

In Chris's words
"Rosie had a Perfect Day getting 5 for 5, 4 1st's and 1 2nd!
It was a long day (7-5:30), and Rosie easily recovered after naps, whereas I did not! Ha!
Always fun hanging with my dear friends Marie and Maria. Plus there was no Covid protocol so masks were optional -- nice to run without one.
So Rosie has 935 points towards her 1,000, and I'm hoping we'll finish at our club's trials in May."

Y2K9s - February 12-13, 2022 - judge JoLee Yeddo

In Chris's words
"Rosie had a wonderful weekend of CPE agility!
She ran a Perfect Weekend!
So nice to do it on our home turf! This is our second Perfect Weekend at Y2K9s' CPE trials! Our first was at Barto in May 2021.
Many thanks to Sally Silverman, our instructor, who has helped guide us on our journey, and has such patience!
Thanks also to everyone involved in running these trials. It's a lot of work!
She now has 830 points towards her 1,000 point plaque!"

Dog Training Center of Chester County - December 5, 2021 - judge Kristin Platzer

In Chris's words
"Rosie and I played in CynoSport Rally Obedience, Level 1B.
I am proud to say Rosie qualified in both the morning and afternoon trials with a score of 207 (out of 210) in each one! She was a bit distracted at times, but was able to recover and focus on me.
We are halfway towards our Level 1 Championship -- only need 5 more Q's.
Love this little girl!"

Rocky Creek CPE trial at United Dog Agility - November 27, 2021 - judge Denielle Stasa

Rosie had to check the new ring out during her runs, but was able to achieve a few Q's!
She went 4 for 5 in Level 1, with 1st's in Standard and Jumpers, and 2nd's in FullHouse and Wildcard!
It seems she and I had different ideas for our Snooker strategy!
We're chipping away at achieving our 1,000 points for our plaque-- up to 610!

Valley Forge KC AKC rally trials, held at Dog Training Club of Chester County, under Judge Roberta Horner - October 02, 2021

Rosie earned her Rally Novice Title with a score of 98 and 3rd Place!
When awarding the ribbons, Judge Horner commented that Rosie had such beautiful focus during our run. Always nice to hear that from a judge! Our 2 point loss was due to a tight lead -- once at a Right Turn and one at the Offset Serpentine. I even received compliments from fellow Novice competitors and also others outside the ring.
I was so happy we did it during the morning trial, as the afternoon course was more challenging with a few exercises we haven't done in a while.
Even though we had our title, I was still nervous. Always good to get that fourth leg as security, and I figured we would do our best. Rosie was even more attentive! We qualified, again with a score of 98, and 2nd Place! Again, 2 points for tight lead -- one at the About Turn and one Right Turn (I wasn't watching her and she veered slightly to sniff the floor).

Also forgot to mention on Sep. 25th, Rosie got another FastCat leg at the Irish Wolfhound trials. We were there with Barb, and hung out with Pat Terray-Shaefer, Jane and Mary Christie and Judy Todd. It was a beautiful day.

Y2K9s CPE Agility Trials - September 18-19, 2021

Rosie and I had a great weekend at Y2K9s' CPE agility trials, judged by Mike Conroy. It was fun to be around friends again, and to see everyone having a good time.
Running in Level 1, Rosie qualified in 4 runs on Saturday, and on Sunday qualified in all 5! She's such a fun girl and loves running the courses, even if she doesn't always follow my instructions??!
She is now over half-way towards her 1,000 point plaque (530 to be exact). A challenging, but achievable goal. Both Sophie and Freddy earned theirs.
You'll see a photo of a very, very tired agility girl last evening, and the requisite torture photo with ribbons (she's camera shy).
Love her so much.

PA good ctizen...of course!

July 14, 2021
Rosie passed her Canine Good Citizenship test at the....Good Neighbor Dog Training Club...makes perfect sense. Well done Rosie (and Chris)

2021 BTCA National Specialty Success - June 5th thru 10th, 2021

Rosie and I attended the Border Terrier Club of America National Specialty in Augusta, NJ which was held outdoors.
In spite of the intense heat and occasional passing storm, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!
It was nice to meet up with friends we haven't seen, and to make new friends.
Rosie participated in FastCat, Rally, Obedience and Agility.
She earned her 2nd and 3rd Legs in FastCat with times of 15.66 sec. and 12.92! A major improvement over her first Q last month of 25 secs.! I'm so proud of her even wanting to run in the heat, and she's finally understanding the game.

Under Judge Karen Wrey, Rosie earned her second Rally Novice leg, got 2nd Place, with a score of 88! She was quite distracted with all the activity around us which didn't surprise me.

Under Judge Sara Steele, Rosie earned her Beginner Novice Title and 2nd Place with a score of 193! Again, distracted at times, and it seems her "sit" mechanism was broken, but everything else was great! My goal, aside from having a fun week, was to earn this title at the Specialty and my little girl came through for me.

A successful "This and That" weekend. May 21st thru May 23rd, 2021

Friday (May 21st) at the Allentown Dog Training Club Rosie competed in Rally Novice and Obedience Beginner Novice.
Her Rally run was first under judge Ms. Diane Stout and despite being rather distracted to put it mildly she qualified in 4th Place with a score of 89!
She was more focused for her Obedience performance but still managed to keep Chris guessing. But all ended well as she earned her second Beginner Novice leg with 2nd Place and a score of 191-1/2.

Saturday was [theoretically] a change of pace with Rosie's debut in FastCAT at the Lehigh Valley Kennel Club and Delaware Valley Dalmatian Club tests but you never know with Rosie.

Let's just say she needs a bit of practice or Chris will have to take up sprinting herself!!!

None-the-less, she qualified in her second run with a time of 24.82 seconds, which equals 8 mph earning her 12 points

Philadelphia Dog Training Club - May 15, 2021 - Judge Nancy Glabicki

Rosie's AKC Obedience Debut
At 8:30 a.m. this morning, Rosie made her debut in AKC Beginner Novice B.
It was outside at a local park which was very convenient as far as driving (20 minutes).
Rosie qualified with a score of 187-1/2!
One down, two to go!

Y2K9 Training CPE trials - May 08-09, 2021 - Judge Darryl Warren

In Chris' words:
ROSIE HAD A PERFECT WEEKEND IN CPE AGILITY!

She also earned 5 Titles by Completing Level 1! I am so immensely proud of her performance!
The trials were hosted by our home club, Y2K9's, but held at the Barto location to allow for Covid protocols.
In a moment of insanity while filling out the entry form, I entered her in all 10 runs for the weekend, assuming we'd both have the energy and stamina to do it. I haven't run that many since competing with Freddy a few years ago. If we couldn't, at least we're supporting our club.

3D Dog Training's CPE trials - April 03-04, 2021 - Judge Mike Conroy

Rosie's CPE Agility Debut
In Chris' words:
"Saturday we started with Standard and aside from a few run-offs to visit the ring stewards, she qualified with 1st Place! I was so proud of her! That Q made my entire weekend!
Next was Wildcard and Jumpers -- again qualified with 1st Places!
Back early Sunday morning as we had Snooker first thing and we were the 3rd dog in. I'm not a fan of Snooker, but I hoped my strategy would work. Or at least we'd have fun for a short time before getting whistled off! She followed my direction and we finished the entire course to earn 40 points when we only needed 26, but she was running so well we went for it. Another Q and 1st Place!
Our Jumpers run wasn't a pretty one with her doing a few run-offs again to visit everyone which messes up my strategy, but we did Qualify with a 2nd Place!
I'm proud of her overall behavior seeing as it was a totally new place, new people, equipment, environment, and we've only been training for about 1-1/2 years due to Covid. She took it in like a champ. Of course, everyone thought she was so cute!"

WCRL Rally, Dog Training Club of Chester County - 01 March 2020

In Chris' words:

"Rosie (aka Wimberways Border U Tuder Rose) had a successful Sunday playing in WCRL rally at Dog Training Club of Chester County.
Under Judge Joan Klingler, Rosie qualified in both her Level 1B runs with scores of 206 and 209 (out of a possible 210)!
She was also awarded Highest Scoring Rescue dog!
I'm so proud of her performance, especially since it was a new environment for her.
These are her first Q's towards her Level 1 Championship -- only 8 to go!
Love my little Rosebud!"

Oakes K9 CynoSport (Halloween Themed) Rally trials, - 26 October 2019
Level 1 title -- RL1 accomplished!

In Chris' words:

"She performed beautifully, completely focusing on our partnership in the ring.
In the morning trial, under Judge Sue Oakes, she earned a perfect score of 210 and 2nd Place!
In the afternoon trial, under Judge Annette Murphy-Wales, she earned a score of 209 and 1st Place!
Rosie also won Highest Scoring Rescue Dog, In Memory of DVGRR’s Bridget and Finn. A lovely prize which included a fancy dog cookie, a stemless wine glass (embossed with HSRD) and a bottle of wine.
Both judges and competitors complimented us on our performances. Rosie definitely brought her A-game! Many thanks to Judges Traci Bowers Isabella, Sue Oakes and Annette Murphy-Wales for helping us achieve this.
Rosie loves life, training, playing and snuggling. Can't ask for more than that!"

Off Leash Debut at Kan Do K9s UKC rally and obedience trials at the K9Jym 05 October 2019

Rosie was entered her in both the morning and afternoon trials, with one run each in rally and obedience in each trial.

She earned her first leg in Rally 2A and 2nd Place, and two legs in Novice B obedience, with two 3rd Places!

Working her magic at KanDo K9's CynoSport trials at the K9Jym20 July 2019

In Chris' words:

"Our morning judge for Level Intro was Renee Hall, and Rosie qualified with a 204 and Second Place for her Intro title, RLI!
I was going to leave her in Intro for the afternoon trial as I didn't have the confidence to think we were ready for Level 1, but my beagle friend, Marie, convinced me to move her up as another Intro leg wouldn't make a difference, and Rosie is such a good worker. Besides, she said, you only need a 170 to qualify, although she knew we would do better. So I did.
Our judge was Traci Isabella. Rosie worked so well she qualified with a 205 and 1st Place! So proud of her! Everyone was so happy for us and said she's so good."

Another Rally Good Saturday - 13 July 2019
CynoSport Rally, Intro Level, at the K9Jym

"In the morning run she scored 208 (out of possible 210) and Second Place! Judge Traci Isabella
In the afternoon run she scored 208 again and earned 1st Place! Judge Jeanne Thompson"

Very Nice Rally Debut - May 4-5,2019
Kan Do K9 Sports Association UKC rally and obedience trials at the K9Jym

In Chris' words:

"On Saturday, under Judge Marguerite Plank (lovely judge), our first ever attempt we got a score of 81 (out of 100)! Marguerite said she had a lovely run for her first time and said she's a lovely working dog. I was so excited we got our first leg!
Our afternoon attempt earned us a score of 95! She was much more focused on me and paid much better attention. Even Marguerite mentioned how much she had improved over the morning. I was very, very proud of her.
Sunday morning, again first in the ring. Our judge was Annette Murphy-Wales, she was happy to meet Rosie, and when we finished her course we scored 97 and 1st Place! Yay, our title!
Annette said she's a lovely working dog. The afternoon trial we did just as well with another 97 and 1st Place."
