CAN.CH Jansim you Know who I am CG AM.CAN.SE AM.CAN.RA TT CGC BTCA-V (Tank) (Jansim Pup)

(Cherished and owned by Mark & Michele, previous proud "moms" - Pam & Anna R.)

Sadly, Tank left us on 21 Decembervember 2020, Click here to visit Tankie's Rainbow Bridge Page

November 28, 2017 - Canine Good Citizen Test - Fit N Trim dog training in Rowley, MA

Despite a spot of bother with the down (never her strong point), Tank passed her CGC, no surprise.

September 25, 2016 - ATTS Temperament Test, North Country Kennel Club, Ipswich, MA

Tank did Mark & Michele proud on her first outing under their names by passing her ATTS Temperament Test under Chief Tester Tom Szebenyi

Burlington Obedience Training Club Rally Trials - October 31st and November 1st, 2015

Tank completed her AKC Rally Advanced title with scores of 96, (judge Lynda Moore), 95 and 88 (judge Nancy Hayes)

It wasn't pretty, but....

Tank completed her CKC Rally Advanced title at the Border Terrier Canada supported Alberta Kennel Club rally trial in Spruce Meadows, Alberta on August 1st, 2015

Her score of 82 under judge Mike Calhoun was enough to secure Highest Scoring Border Terrier in Trial thanks to Fells creativity in Excellent !!!

Handled by Marion Miners, she was also on the qualifying Border Terrier Only rally team, which also was in first place - OK, so we were the only team entered but the team qualified!!!

Taking it to the next level

Maternaty duties a distant memory, Tank put in two solid runs at the Lakeshore Dog Training Association Rally Trials on April 25, 2015 under judge Katherine Stead.

She scored 91 in the morning trial and 95 and in the afternoon trial placing second both times.

Just in Time!!

With her due to come in season any day, it was a relief that Tank finished her CKC Rally Novice title on January 13, 2013 at the Simcoe Performance Dogs Rally and Obedience Trial under judge Bonnie Christie.
Her score of 187 was largely the result of single 10 point deduction courtsey of a not so "moving down".

Cross Border Success

Our objective to have Tank earn her CKC Rally Novice title before she takes time off for maternal duties next year got off to a good start with two qualifying scores (91 and 97) under Judge Michelle Armitage at the United Kennel Club Show on November 02, 2012.
She followed this up on November 03, 2012 by completing her AKC Rally Novice title at the Burlington Obedience Training Club Trial with a somewhat less than stellar 86 (qu'est que c'est "down") under judge Janet Induni.

Two Down!

And she actually did go down!!! Tank earned her second Rally Novice B leg with a 93 at the Northwestern Connecticut Dog Show on September 23, 2012 under judge Lynn Currie

2012 BTCA Specialty Achievements,
Oconomowoc WI, June 10-14, 2012

Luckily for Tank (and I), there was only one station in the Rally Novice B Routine that included a down (you want me to do what???). Consequently Tank was able to scrape by for her first Rally Novice leg with a score of 82 under Border breeder judge, Jennifer Tollefson.

The last senior moment - hopefully

Tank finally completed her CKC Senior Earthdog Title at the Victoria County KC ED Test on June 18th, 2011 under judge Brenda Weintraub. 60 seconds of her 79 second recall were spent avoiding me and looking for the disappeared quarry.
Don't look for her in Master any time soon.

Classic and Comic

Tank completed her AKC Senior Earthdog Title with one picture perfect run (Judge Ron Sebastiani) and one far more entertaining "gotcha" run (judge Richard Reynolds). She also did a nice run under judge Judy Todd for a bonus leg. This all took place at the New Jersey Beanfield Earthdog Club fall tests in Crosswicks, NJ. November 6-7, 2010.

Catch me if you can

Tank's senior teamwork definitely leaves a bit to be desired so she only managed to qualify in one of her attempts at the Dachshund Club of Greater Ontario ED Tests on September 18, 2010. (Judge Kate Kenny)

She continues to shine

Despite unbelievable heat and humidity one day and steady rain the next, Tank lived up to her heritage at the Finger Lakes Kennel Club Earthdog Tests on July 24-25, 2010. After being unable to decide if she was running junior or senior in the first test, she steadied down and completed her AKC JE title under judge Karen Zeman on Saturday afternoon.

On Sunday morning she did a flawless run to earn her first AKC Senior leg under Trudy Kawami

This brag will continue to keep Rusty the CBTW foster dog in the manner to which he has grown very accustomed

And how about that - July 16, 2010

When it was announced that the Friday show of the New England Circuit was breaking away from the cluster and would be held outdoors at the Tunbridge fair grounds it seemed appropriate to enter. After all - The Woodstock Dog Club shows were home to the BTCA National Specialty for many, many years.

Well, our support was rewarded, the show drew the only major of the circuit and Tank claimed it with Winners Bitch for 3 points under judge Polly Smith.

As always, this brag will benefit Rusty CBTW Foster Dog

How about that!!!

No-one was more surprised than Pam when Tank turned in a sterling performance to earn the first leg of her CKC Senior earthdog title under Marg Pough at the Border Terrier Canada Specialty Earthdog Test in Jerseyvill ON on June 27, 2010.

As always, this brag will benefit Rusty CBTW Foster Dog

Lessons well learned

Tank put her New Jersey Beanfield earthdog experience to good use at the Cairn Terrier Association of Ontario tests on June 12-13, 2010 earning her Can.JE under judges Chris and Jeanette Burger

Earthdog Success

Tank finally earned the first leg towards her AKC Junior Earthdog Title at the New Jersey Beanfield Club Test on June 6, 2010 under judge Larry Sorenson

That took care of that

Tank completed her Canadian Championship at the Club Canin Rive Sud shows in Iberville on April 30th and May 1st, 2010

On Saturday, Tank took Winners Bitch/Best of Breed over a female puppy and then Group 4th for a total of two points under Doug Gaudin then Winners Bitch/Best of Breed over two bitches on Sunday for two more points under Avery Gaudin.

I moved her up for Sunday but asked if she would prefer to go to the show or go for a walk.......

A nice little win

...at the Ottawa Kennel Club Shows, November 21-22, 2009

On Saturday, Tank took Winners Bitch over another female puppy and then Best of Breed over a male Specials for 2 points under Cecilia Ringstrom then Winners Bitch on Sunday for one more point (judge "Butch" MacDonald).

All in the Family

Sadly, there was no outside Border Terrier competition at the Moncton Kennel Club Shows on November 14th & 15th, 2009 so Tank competed against her half-sibs for the points and came away with two-two point wins under judges Wendy Paquette and Elaine Whitney.

Following in hallowed footsteps

With four lines back to my beloved Pepper, it was no suprise that Tank earned her AWTA Certificate of Gameness a few days short of 8 months of age at the NJBEC Test on November 01, 2009 under respected working judge, Teddy Moritz
