Am.Can.Ch. Jansim Pennyroyal TT,CGC,CG,ME,Am.Can.CD.

April 08, 1990 - June 18, 2004

Penny Penny was probably one of the prettiest bitches I have bred. She was incredibly sound and a great worker with the very best of field manners. I will never forget her and her sister, Tangle (owned by JoAnn Frier-Murza), whom she disliked intensely, working together to account for a ground hog above ground.

Penny was Best of Opposite Sex at the 1992 BTCA Specialty under renowned breeder judge Ruth Ann Naun and her progeny from just two litters earned ten championships, six obedience titles, an agility title, various CGCs and a TDI, plus sixteen earthdog titles (and counting). Her beautiful movement is especially evident in many of her grandpups

As Penny matured, she made it plain that a multi-dog household was not her cup of tea. Marnie and Fred came to her rescue in 1997, opening their home and their hearts to give her the individual love and attention that we couldn't. Penny blossomed in their care and her devotion to them was obvious. She lived happily with her half brother, PC, until his death in 1999. In 2002 she accepted her grandson, Archie, into her life with a modicum of grace.

That they only had her for six years may seem like a tragedy, but there is no doubt in my mind that those were the best years of Penny's life.

Our hopes of showing her to Ruth Ann in the veterans class at the 2004 BTCA National Specialty may have been dashed but you can be sure Penny will be with us in spirit, memory, and progeny.
