Our site for the 2004 Specialty is once again the Gardner Fish & Gun Club, 538 Clark St, Gardner, MA 01440-1252 - the same site as 1999. The Club grounds offer a spacious, natural setting with a pond (enlarged since 1999), and space for RV parking and camping. Hospitality will be located in the air-conditioned Club House with a free continental breakfast available Monday thru Friday. A daily lunch menu will be offered at a very reasonable price. There will be ample ringside tenting to provide protection from sun or rain - it is New England in August after all! ALCOHOL POLICY The Gardner Fish & Gun Club has a State Liquor License. State Law Dictates "That NO Alcoholic Beverages May Be Brought Onto Club Property (Grounds, Buildings). All Parties Must Conform To State Alcoholic Beverage Laws, Which Will Be Strictly Enforced" For your convenience, alcoholic beverages may be purchased at the Club Bar, which is open from 4:00pm on weekdays and from 11:00am on weekends. Hotel Reservations and Information There will be no host hotel for the 2004 BTCA National Specialty. Instead, the focus will be on the Gardner Fish & Gun Club, where all events will take place and hospitality will abound. However, a block of rooms have been reserved at the following area motel until 15 July 2004. Please mention the BTCA when making your reservation.
Motel 6, Leominster (approx. 18 miles from show site)
The Devens Inn, Fort Devens (approx. 26 miles from show site) PLEASE NOTE: The BTCA Room Policy will be in effect and strictly enforced. Rooms may be subject to joint inspection by Hotel Staff. We recommend that you examine your room on check in and if you see any damage that might subsequently be attributed to your dog(s), please report it to a member of the Hotel Staff as soon as possible. Camping Information and Reservations Please note: we have received tremendous interest in camping on site; consequently we will need your full cooperation, patience and consideration to ensure that everyone is accommodated fairly. With the exception of 2004 Specialty Committee members, no RVs will be permitted on the show site prior to 2:00 pm Friday 13 August. Please print, complete and mail the Specialty Reservation/Order Forms in this package. ALL campers must check in on arrival at the show site (signs will be posted). There are no electrical hook-ups or showers. Pump-out of RV tanks will be scheduled for a moderate fee. Fresh water tanks can also topped up via hose - owing to the extent of the hose required, this water may not be suitable for drinking. We recommend that you arrive with your fresh water and propane tanks full, and your gray and black water tanks empty. Ice runs and gas runs (you must provide an approved container) will be made for those without auxiliary transportation. Latest departure is Saturday, August 21st. There is no charge for Camping or RV parking but you are required to register prior to July 23, 2004 using the Camping/RV Section of the Specialty Reservation/Order Forms. Parking places will be assigned on the basis of the information received. If you would prefer full amenities, we suggest the following area campgrounds:

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) Q: The T-shirt colours have me puzzled A: Unfortunately the supplier does not have a web site but we have done our best to provide samples, thanks for your patience and understanding. Q: I can't eat Shellfish and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who can't. Will there be another option or should I eat somewhere else and come and sit and visit? A: We tossed this idea around and wondered about providing an alternative but that would likely have been chicken (as per BBQ) so in the end decided to make it a simple choice that was a New England Tradition and hope that people would either bring an alternative and join us or join us after eating |
