Fergus earned his RATN Title Saturday and got a leg on his Open Sunday.
He did an "OOPSIE" on his first Open run but on his second run - he was methodical, went thru the tunnel twice, had to climb to find the second rat, so it was a very successful run.
Don't know what his time was yet. He seemed a bit less over the top today so it was a good weekend.

Fergus ran in the 3 Started elements, Containers, Inside, and Outside. We failed containers! My fault as he sniffed the right box (1 out of 13) when we first went in but I thought he should check all the other boxes to be certain and he wasn't really interested. I need to learn to read him better as his first stop and sniff was the hide!
However, when we did interiors, he found the hide in a room full of distractions in 17.8 seconds and got a 3rd place ribbon for his effort.
Exterior took him 24 seconds to find the hide (they get 5 minutes for each of those) but it was a slightly larger area. Anyway, he passed 2 of the 3 elements and I won the draw for the gift basket for the people who didn't pass all 3 elements.

Andrea and Fergus have settled in well in BC and he is enjoying the opportunities that the west Coast has to offer.
A crack of dawn departure to participate in Barn Hunt tests in Ladysmith paid off with him earning his RATI title and two legs towards his RATN title.
He did more than just qualify, in his second Novice run, Fergus came in 1st for the small dog category (and 3rd overall)- finished in 33 seconds! Dogs ahead of him timed at 29 and 32 seconds!

Fergus completed his Novice Sprinter Title with ease in three runs on Friday. He also picked up two points by going Best of Winners under judge David Kelland at the MKC Shows on Saturday and another two points going Best of Winners at the BTC Regional Specialty also on Saturday under judge Rosemary Shoreman.
