Molly wasted no time after her Specilaty FastCAT debut and completed her BCAT title with two scorching runs (plus two extra runs because of time malfunction.Bbr>
Like he mom she is a passionate speed demon.
BTCA 2026 National Specialty, Gardner MA and Swanzey NH, May 30th - June 4th
Molly's first National Specialty was a good one on so many levels. While she is still building confidence in Earthdog she nailed her FastCAT runs and her NASDA Uorban Locating runs (including a bonus of 10 for a second place) and she also earned a Q in Trailing and Locating.
Coming home with 7 Q ribbons in all.
She also demonstrated some really good community camp site manners
Happy Ratters, Paws N Effect, Hamden, CT - May 09, 2026
Molly's Happy Ratters debut was successful. This was her first introduction to rats since going home with Bruce and Debra. There was an "example" rat she was able to check out before she and I did our two runs.
She scored 100 on her first run; and 80 on her second (she was, at that point, hypnotized by the rat and wanted out of the ring to go find it again).
Two qualifying runs, 3rd and 4th place finishes.
AKC Trick Dog - February 28, 2026
For her birthday, Molly had an outing with Debra to dog training class, where they are practicing the basics. And where she flirts unabashedly with a terrier at the next spot over. About midway through the class, they played bingo, with each square on the bingo card corresponding to something the dogs had to do. Like push-ups or leave-its. Molly impressed the instructor with a picture-perfect paws up, which she's never done out in the wild. She left the class with birthday treats. And with an AKC Novice Trick Dog ribbon.
