Mel, Marion and Medrick (a.k.a The 3M's - CB call name "Sticky") were the first to "hit the road", heading out from Alberta down into Montana

September 15, 2008
Jenny with Daisy and Teddy are headed to Marg's via Jansim home base to drop off "stuff" and have a pre-trip get-together with friends.
The 3Ms head further into Montana

September 17, 2008
Chris & Pam (BBC) head for Orchard Park, New York and meet up with Jenny & Marg (MnJ). Gwen starts off on a two day trek to Louisville, JoAnn finishes packing and Mel & Marion drive to Castle Rock, CO
Wyoming rest stops: self explanatory? 3Ms saw at least three with this design
All also had dumps for RVs. Texas could follow their example.
Peace and tranquility at Castle Rock (if you ignore the nearby trains) after 3Ms traverse Denver during rush hour.

September 18, 2008
BBC and JoAnn meet up in Walton, KY while MnJ stop in Cincinnati, Gwen spends the night in Louisville and the 3Ms make it to Clayton NM
End of the day at Clayton, NM after 3Ms drove through the storm (a real lollapalooza) and had it catch up with them at Clayton and carry on its merry way.
3Ms make a detour around the Spanish Peaks and other assorted igneous intrusions by way of a 9900 ft. pass - unfortunately without an elevation sign.
After weathering the storm and dealing with detours and "high altitudes", Medrick has a well deserved sleep in.
September 19, 2008
The 3Ms are hopefully in Vernon TX by end of day while the East coast contingent converged on West Memphis, AR

September 20, 2008
As planned we met up with the 3Ms at the KOA campground outside of Hillsboro, TX. and an unplanned but nice bonus was having the motel contingent also stay at the campground in one of the cabins
Medrick taking advantage of boring scenery to catch a few more Zzzz's
That would be one of umpteen spaghetti junctions observed as 3Ms pass through Fort Worth, not around it as map indicates.
